Because peach wood has the power to exorcise evil and dispel negative energy, in some Taoist rituals, Taoist priests will use peach wood swords as a tool to repel evil and achieve the purification of the mind and body. Therefore, the use of wooden swords is not uncommon in Taoist spells and rituals.
