往生钱，也叫冥币、祭品钱、祭钱、亡者钱或冥纸，是一种传统的亡灵纸钞，代表着对已逝去亲人的敬意和思念。在中国和一些东亚国家，人们相信死后有一条通向“阴间”的路，需要用钱财来换取过路费，否则灵魂将在路途中迷失或被阻挡。往生钱的初衷是用来帮助故去的祖先在另一个世界获得良好的生活和幸福，以表达对他们的敬意和怀念之情。
人过世的时候，在世的人希望他在阴间容易往生，去往阴间的道路无人阻挡。所以往生钱也是所谓的“道路钱”。原本是佛教先提倡，后来道教也提倡。要烧多少的往生前纯粹看心意就好，不用太多。人死后在阴间需要钱，因为所谓阴间其实就是地狱，所以什么都需要，所以才会看到有人会烧纸扎房子、汽车、甚至是仆人等。灵魂给牛头马面带去地狱带去接受审判。道教徒希望能上天做仙，成为神仙后才能自由自在。

It is a traditional paper currency for the deceased, representing respect and memories for deceased relatives.
